Absolutely amazing experience watching the bears and all of their interactions with each other. Our guide CJ was really professional and on it, as we saw lots of bears, often up quite close, and never felt endangered or threatened. The lodge is very comfortable and all the staff were helpful, friendly and a pleasure to spend time with.

A stay at the Kodiak Brown Bear Lodge is truly an incredible experience. To be able to watch the bears at such a close distance, and to see all the range of behaviors - fish (snorkelfishing anyone?!), nurse, fight, play fight, and just do all that they do as wild bears - is an unparalleled experience. Thank you to Nick, CJ, Chad, Bryant and Kimi for their hospitality and also for sharing the own personal experiences. Learning about the Alutiiq heritage was also a wonderful bonus.
