My daughter and I really enjoyed the amazing trip to Camp Island staying in BBC. The cabin is so well equipped with everything travelers would need in such remote place making the stay super comfortable. Bryan did a wonderful job making meals for us with variant food/dessert each day. Fallon & CJ are such great/experienced guides who made us feel safe during our search for Kodiak brown bears and when we were in such close proximity to bears. Nicolai did a wonderful job managing the BBC and is super responsive to our inquiries prior to the trip. We not only enjoyed watching bears catching salmons in rivers/creeks, playing especially those adorable spring cubs but also enjoyed the safaris we did in the island searching for bears. This was really like National Geographic Wildlife Documentary type of experience rather than "Theme Park" type of experience like in Brooks Falls at Katmai National Park where dozes of bears are congregated at the Falls catching salmons. We were much closer to bears watching safely bears catching, eating salmons. We could even hear the cracking sound when bears bite the salmons. Besides the incredibly pristine landscape and the majestic Kodiak brown bears, we also learnt so much about the Sugpiag people of Kodiak. Our guides showed us some of the native village ruins during our hikes there and we even spotted some tools the native made back then.
In summary, this was such an incredible and adventurous trip we made in Kodiak Island!
